What is the difference between Sandbox mode and Production mode?

This article explains the differences between the two heyCASEy data modes called sandbox and production.

Updated over a week ago

heyCASEy relies on accurate data to offer the most correct view of vision, challenges, ideas and work. Sometimes though you just need a place to play, to test, or to learn. We offer two places your data can be stored. Sandbox and Production. Data is kept separate between these two places.

When in Sandbox mode, it is clearly shown in the title bar:

There is NO difference in functionality between Sandbox and Production, it is solely a way to separate two sets of data. The intention is to keep test data out of your production data.

To switch between the two modes, open the side-menu by clicking on the three bars (called the hamburger) button top-left of the app.heyCASEy.io application. It located on the title bar to the left of the CASEy logo.

Once in the side-menu, toggle Sandbox mode using the slider:

Teams, users, visions, challenges, ideas and work are all kept separate between the two environments. Keep this in mind, because you will have to recreate data in production once you are happy with the settings in Sandbox.

You heyCASEy.io team.
